Whether you have a formal compliance program or not, one of the only ways to know if your documentation and coding meets the payers' guidelines is to have an independent, objective chart review.

Depending on your needs and focus of the review, there are varying approaches that Acevedo Consulting provides. Our review process is quite comprehensive. Utilizing the risk areas outlined in the OIG's guidance for physician compliance, we do not only check that the physician's documentation  supports the services billed. If the information is provided to us, additional areas may include the appropriate use of modifiers, medical necessity of serve, diagnosis coding, incident-to services and any inappropriate unbundling.

The services provided by Acevedo Consulting will be performed in accordance with applicable professional standards. All chart audits are performed by a Certified Professional Coder (CPC).
