Amber Cantrell, CPC, CPMA, CCMA has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry in a variety of roles. She brings extensive experience in direct clinical patient care, practice administration, billing, auditing, coding, regulatory compliance, and physician education. She is known to occasionally volunteer her time to be a speaker on coding and compliance related topics. Amber is one of our go-to subject matter experts in the very high-risk areas of E/M services and incident-to billing guidelines.

  

Amber is extremely passionate about her career and takes pride in providing resources to her clients to help ensure regulatory compliance.  She is a native of Oak Ridge, Tennessee and currently resides in Knoxville, Tennessee with her son.

 

She served as an officer of her hometown AAPC local chapter for several years managing the role of Vice President & President and proudly holds certifications as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) from the AAPC. She is currently pursuing her CHC from the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA).

Amber joined our firm in 2022 as a highly-driven Coding and Compliance Analyst and in 2024 was promoted to Associate Consultant. She has proven herself to be an asset to the Acevedo Team and looks forward to continuing to provide stellar services to our clients and strives to exceed all their expectations.
