Ebony is a native of Washington, DC where she began her career in the medical field by working in teaching hospitals such as George Washington University and Children’s National Medical Center.  There she was recognized for her outstanding customer service and patient relations skills. She relocated to South Florida to work for the University of Miami where she excelled in medical billing; this sparked her interest in medical coding. She took her skill sets and moved to a corporate environment in the Broward Health System where she aggressively pursued and became a Certified Professional Coder with the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).

 

Ebony joined the firm as a Coding and Compliance Analyst in 2019.  In this role she conducts coding and chart reviews for rheumatology, palliative care and other physician specialties, and  provides compliance guidance.   Ebony is also responsible for Medicare/Medicaid credentialing for the firm’s clients as well as walking them through the Health Care Clinic Licensing process with Florida’s Agency for Healthcare Administration.  Knowing that dealing with Federal and State agencies can be confusing, her innate customer service skills serve her and our clients well.
